Our hospital held an expert evaluation meeting on the training program of doctoral students in food science and Engineering (first level discipline)

On the afternoon of December 2, our hospital held an expert evaluation meeting on the training scheme of doctoral students in food science and Engineering (first-class discipline), which was conducted by combining online and offline methods. Professor Liu Xuebo, director of the international cooperation and Exchange Department of Northwest A & F University, Professor Lu Xin, Dean of School of food science and engineering, Northwest A & F University, Professor Xu Xiaoyun, Dean of School of food science and technology of Huazhong Agricultural University, Professor Zhou Dayong, Dean of Food College of Dalian University of technology Professor Du Xinjun, Dean of School of food science and engineering, Tianjin University of science and technology, with Liu Xuebo as the leader of the evaluation expert group. Vice President Pu Yongping attended the meeting online. Lu Zhaoqing, President of the graduate school and relevant responsible comrades, representatives of the college's tutors and staff attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Huang Junrong, President of food college.

In his speech, Pu Yongping introduced the school running history and the development history of food science and engineering discipline, affirmed the achievements of food science and engineering at present, and put high hopes on the future development. He said that the University attaches great importance to the construction of food discipline, and hopes that the evaluation experts can give more valuable opinions, so as to lay a good foundation for the construction of the food doctoral program in our university and provide suggestions for a good new situation. Huang Junrong mainly reported from four aspects: the general situation of food science, the investigation of cultivation program, the basis and explanation of training program formulation.

The evaluation experts affirmed the existing characteristics of the doctoral training program of food science and Engineering (first-class discipline) in our university, and discussed in detail from the training objectives, research direction, dissertation links, curriculum setting and other aspects, and put forward suggestions on the concise research direction and professional curriculum setting. Lu Zhaoqing explained the common problems raised by experts on doctoral training. Huang Junrong answered the questions raised by the expert group one by one, and said that he would carefully sort out and improve the suggestions of the experts.

Pu Yongping expressed his gratitude for the opinions and suggestions of the expert group, and hoped that the discipline of food science and engineering should be based on the school's positioning, benchmarking the evaluation elements of disciplines, reflecting the interdisciplinary intersection, and formulating a doctoral training program that conforms to its own development and highlights the characteristics of the school.
